Client Tax Interview Worksheet:
- Some questions have been added to the worksheet based on updated law changes. These questions are there to ensure we don’t miss important deductions.
- For ease of access, the interview will be emailed and is also available below. As always, a printed version will be available in our office.
Customized Document Checklist:
- You will only receive this checklist if you have previously set up your online document portal via Intuit Link.
- The customized document checklist will supply you with a record of the previous tax forms you provided to ensure all documents are given to our office in a timely fashion.
Behind the Scenes Processes:
- The e-signature platform has been updated to safeguard your data.
- Our workflow procedures have changed to ensure your tax return is completed in a timely manner.
Billing:
- Our billing rates will be slightly increased over the previous year’s rate due to new technology and security requirements as well as new tax laws and forms.
- Our base form fee will have minor adjustments for clients that have rentals and/or small businesses.
- Dependents of our clients who are also filing taxes will be assessed a fee to cover baseline expenses. For NO CHARGE we can determine if the dependent isn’t required to file.
Methods of providing our office with your tax documents:
Portal:
- If you haven’t already done so, and you’d like to register for the portal to upload your documents, please accept your emailed invitation reminder (sent 11/19/2025).
- A portal instruction guide can be found below in the "Documents" section.
- Upload all documents as a PDF and email us at admin@picketfencetax.com to let us know you’re finished uploading.
We recommend that you do NOT email any tax documents as uploading them to our portal is the most secure digital option.
Drop Off:
- Drop your documents off to one of our administrative team members any time during business hours.
Face-to-Face Appointments:
- Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange for a “F2F” meeting. We have limited appointments and the calendar fills up quickly!
- F2F appointments are primarily reserved for clients that have more complicated tax situations or are expecting significant changes based on the new tax laws.
Once your return is completed…
- A staff member will contact you to go over the outcome of your return.
- Signature pages can be completed by electronically signing (e-signing) or coming to the office and signing in person.
- A PDF copy of your tax return, along with any accompanying documents, can be uploaded to your portal, or you can pick up a hardcopy during regular business hours.
- Your invoice can be emailed to you and paid online OR you can pay in the office. We accept cash, check, credit, and debit cards.
